How Does Free Tutoring Work?
Accessing free tutoring services through Empower Education Foundation is a simple and straightforward process. Here are the steps to access our services:
Application: Students or their parents/guardians/teachers can fill out an application form on our website or through designated channels. The application captures basic information about the student, their educational needs, and any specific challenges they may be facing.
Needs Assessment: Once the application is submitted, our team of assessors will review the information provided and reach out to the applicant for a brief discussion. This conversation helps us gain a better understanding of the student's requirements, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Tutor Matching: Based on the needs assessment, we will handpick a qualified and experienced tutor from our pool of dedicated professionals. Our tutors are state-certified educators with expertise in special education and general subjects.
Scheduling: After the tutor is selected, we will coordinate with the student or their parents/guardians to schedule tutoring sessions. We offer flexibility in choosing the timing and frequency of sessions to accommodate the student's availability and learning needs.
Tutoring Sessions: The free tutoring sessions will be conducted online, utilizing a secure and user-friendly virtual platform. Our tutors will provide personalized instruction, guidance, and support in accordance with the student's academic goals and areas of focus. Sessions may cover a wide range of subjects, including reading, writing, math, and more, tailored to the student's grade level.
